For taxi and fleet operators

Join an aggregator, or run your own platform?

Both put your cars on the road. They differ in whose name the rider sees, who the rider belongs to, and who sets the rules. This is the difference, side by side.

Two ways to run

What each one means

Joining an aggregator

Your cars and drivers take trips booked through someone else's app. Riders are already there and there is nothing to build. The app, the brand, the riders and the rules all belong to the aggregator.

Running your own platform

Riders book in an app with your name on it, and you set the fares, zones and rules. The riders are yours, and so is the work of winning them. On Exicube we run the technology for you.

When an aggregator is the better fit

If you have cars and drivers but no riders of your own, an aggregator brings demand you would otherwise have to win. Your own platform is for an operator who has riders already, or wants to keep the ones it wins: a phone base, hotel and business accounts, a name people in town know.

FAQ

Running your own platform

Does Exicube take a commission on rides?▾

No. Exicube charges a flat monthly fee and nothing per ride. You set your own fares, and what you charge riders and pay drivers is your decision.

What does running my own platform cost?▾

Taxi Starter is $2,099 to set up, paid as $700 when you sign, $700 when your branded app is on a test phone, $699 at go-live, and then $249 a month, flat. Third-party fees such as SMS, payment processing and app store developer accounts are billed by those providers.

Where do the riders come from on my own platform?▾

From you: the people who already call you, the hotels and businesses you drive for, and the riders your own marketing wins. The platform gives you the tools: a rider app and web booking under your name, promo codes, and on Advanced and Pro, corporate accounts for businesses that book rides for their staff.

How long does it take to launch?▾

7–15 business days from the day we receive all prerequisites: branding assets, app store developer accounts and payment gateway keys.
