Commission questions answered

How is this different from the Payments page?

The Payments page covers payment gateways (Stripe, Square, Cash) and payout mechanics. Commission Management is specifically about configuring and tracking the platform's revenue share — how much the platform keeps from each vendor sale.

Can I set different rates for different vendors?

Yes. Set a global default commission rate, then override it per vendor from the admin panel. This lets you offer preferential rates to high-volume vendors.

When do vendors receive their payouts?

Vendors receive automated weekly payouts every Monday via Stripe Connect. Commission and processing fees are deducted before payout — fully auditable from the admin panel.

Can vendors see their commission breakdown?

Yes. Each vendor can see per-order commission deductions, total earnings, and payout history from their Vendor Portal dashboard.

Does commission apply to all payment methods?

Yes. Commission is calculated the same way for Stripe, Square, and cash on delivery payments. For COD, commission is tracked from the vendor's payable balance.
